Hierarchy bites back!

I heard something quite chilling today.

Were at the top of the social ladder, you’re licking the bottom step.

Honestly I think that’s disgusting. Who’s to say who’s at what position socially and why does it even matter!? What gives a person the right to belittle someone in that? I don’t even understand the need to be cruel to someone like that.

I also think that someone who depends on their social position as much as these people (as usual it was a group against one) seem to are pretty insecure.

I’m hoping for a lighter post next time and hopefully one non-school related :D

I can hope anyway!

You reminded me of something that happened last year. I was in London and a friend took me out because it was Valentine's and I had no date haha. Anyway, my friend went into a store to get something and I didn't go in because I wouldnt let go of my icecream! It was freezing outside. I heard someone sayin "miss, miss, please?" there was this guy sitting on the curn and he had a blanket wrapped around him, he was about 20, give or take a year or 2. I gave him a pound or two and then I sat down beside him, he offered to give me a part of his blanket, but I was warm enough in my coat. We chatted for a while and then my friend came out of the store and saw me there with the beggar! He was FURIOUS!! He kept screaming at the poor guy and took me and left. He kept askin "what if someone saw you there with the beggar?! what would people think?"

I asked my friend to take me back to the hotel, I didn't have dinner with him that night and I decided that I'll have dinner alone. I ran into a couple of old friends back at hotel though :)

I hated the way my friend snapped out on the beggar and the way he talked about him later and the way he thought it would belittle me being seen with the beggar. It kind of was annoying!

P.S. I love the post!

For once, something we can agree with.

It's that sort of attitude that makes me furious, and that is mainly because I don't believe there is a social ladder, and I never will.

Whether you're popular or not can never be measured because people think different things about other people.

I think if people go on with that attitude in life, it won't be too long until they're (linking back to another lovely little Darkeve story)the tramp sitting on the bench.

Great Post Matthew,
Tom.
